Out of the Depths
On September 11, 2001, Americans were overwhelmed with crushing feelings of grief, anger, sadness, and fear, all brought about by the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C. Today, years later, some still harbor wounds because of family or friends they lost that day. Others found their marriages, relationships, health, and even their faith destroyed because of the unbelievable devastation. How do you recover from something that traumatizes you and causes such deep-felt emotions?
This series by Pete answers that question. Originally taught in response to the 9/11 attacks, Pete addresses the normal feelings we have in the wake of tragedy, but warns that our emotions can take control and lead us down a path we didn’t plan to go. Pete teaches from the Psalms in this three-message series and explains the necessity of surrendering your emotions to the healing throne of God.
